A full album and book release, an extensive tour of exhilarating live performances around the world, and more on the way. Author Dan Brown’s Wild Symphony has had quite the wild ride since its debut in 2020, and the critically acclaimed production shows no sign of slowing down as it sets course for Portsmouth NH this summer.
On July 8, Wild Symphony will be unleashed within the walls of Portsmouth’s Music Hall, performed by Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra, and narrated by Brown himself. Proceeds from this event will benefit the New Hampshire Music Educators Association.
Wild Symphony Across the Globe
In the past few months alone, Brown’s orchestral portrait of the animal kingdom has touched down on stages across the globe, from the charming city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the dynamic landscapes of Colorado and more.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra
Wild Symphony launched itself into 2023 with a number of live performances around the world, splashing into Europe and soaring to the Rocky Mountains before landing in Fort Worth TX in March, where it received a resounding performance from the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Attendees were met with a special surprise just before the show began, an “instrument petting zoo” provided by Music & Arts to give youth an up-close look at the musical makeup of Brown’s production.
Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra
After a successful start to 2023, Wild Symphony kicked off the spring with a performance in Buffalo NY with the distinguished Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra led by conductor Fernanda Lastra. The performance was narrated this time by Buffalo native Brandon Williamson, an award-winning poet celebrated for his work in building a community of art that everyone can be a part of.
Iceland Symphony Orchestra
Shortly after, Wild Symphony traversed the Atlantic and landed in the island nation of Iceland where it was performed in Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, one of the leading institutions on the country’s cultural scene. The first movement was performed solely by young musicians from the Austurbær School Band, playing instruments such as toy trumpet, drums, triangle, cuckoo flute, and noisemaker before joining forces with the full ISO to deliver a rousing presentation of Brown’s work.
Can’t make it to Portsmouth on July 8 but still want to witness Wild Symphony? You’re in luck! Wild Symphony is continuing its world-wide tour well into next year, including performances with the celebrated Antwerp Symphony Orchestra in Fall 2023, and the esteemed Seattle Symphony Orchestra and Toronto Symphony Orchestra in early 2024.
