You care about the music you’ve produced, and you want the whole world to hear it too. Here are a few key steps to gaining exposure for your classical music in 2025.

Classical Music Recording

It all starts under the microphone. When good music receives a world-class recording, the possibilities are endless.

The engraving of the score, the musicians in the room, the engineers in the mixing booth, and the equipment at play all have an effect on the outcome of the composer’s vision. Having these boxes checked will carry your music much farther as it gains traction.

Digital Marketing

Digital Marketing has quickly become one of the most effective ways to spread a message.

Your digital presence highlights the tone of your music. Having an up-to-date artist website, high-resolution headshots, links to stream or buy your music, and professionally-produced content are all assets that contribute to a positive feedback loop of exposure.

Artists should produce engaging content that matches the quality of their music and tailor that material to the audience they would like to reach.

Music Marketing Tip:

Don’t be afraid to leverage your pre-existing assets to gain exposure.

  • “Inside Looks” at your writing process, recording session, and concerts are engaging pieces of content in which many viewers are interested.

  • Share unique information about your piece or talk about a particular passage of your work that you believe will resonate with your audience.

  • Discuss what inspired your work, the artwork on your album cover, or your project as a whole.

  • If you’re an instrumentalist or vocalist, consider posting video performances of your music on social media.

Video Content

From the trailblazing MTV to the recent boom in artistic entertainment on Youtube, Instagram, and Tik Tok, history has proven that music and video are a duo made in harmony. If great music can captivate a listener, great video will make it impossible to turn away.

For the release of her 2024 Navona Records album, AMERICAN WOMAN, Juliana Soltis teamed up with PARMA’s video production crew to record several mini-documentaries, giving her audience insight into the music and historical significance of her project.

The end result was a captivating series of interviews that helped raise awareness for Soltis’ album ahead of its release.

PARMA’s recent release with violinist Davide Alogna and the London Symphony Orchestra had a similar effect, with several interviews with the album’s composers offering viewers a sneak peek at the LSO St. Luke’s recording session of SYMPHONIC STRADIVARIUS.

Playlisting

Posting is only half of the battle. Directing your music to the correct corners of the internet requires a finely-tuned approach.

Want to be at the forefront of the latest classical music presented to the world? Secure playlist placements so your music can not only reach a lot of ears, but also the right ones.

Playlisting began as a highly personalized way to group a listener’s favorite songs together, and it has since become a public vehicle for discovery through today’s leading streaming platforms.

Some playlists curated by streaming platforms offer a wide-ranging cross section of new music, making it easy for listeners to discover their next favorite piece.

According to 2024’s IFPI Report, approximately 120,000 new songs are added to music streaming services each day. Each of these new releases are considered for placement in playlists curated by streaming platforms, but only a select few stand out.

The Power of Playlisting

Live Performances

While music marketing largely exists in a digital space in 2025, there are tried and true methods of sharing your artform that will never go out of style. In other words, share your classical music the way it was originally intended: in the concert hall.

PARMA artists have appeared in classical music’s most prestigious venues over the years to share live renditions of their music. Recently, several contemporary composers assembled at Carnegie Hall to see their works come to life live on the concert stage.

Flutist Lindsey Goodman and pianist Clare Longendyke gave a live performance of works from the Navona Records album IN THE COMPANY OF MUSIC on January 24, and their electrifying Friday-night show was met with a thunderous applause from a sold-out concert hall.
