Lead Producer of the Zagreb Festival Orchestra and frequent PARMA collaborator Krešimir “Krešo” Seletković was awarded Best Production of a Classical Music Album at this week’s 28th annual Porin Awards, the most prestigious music awards show in Croatia. This is the 10th time Seletković has been honored with a Porin.
Produced by Seletković and performed by the Zbor HRT Radiotelevision Choir and Symphony Orchestra, the album won in a category with two other nominations. The release, A Knight’s Opera in Five Acts, encapsulated a full opera work by 19th century Croatian composer Vatroslav Lisinski.
The relationship between Seletković and PARMA blossomed with the company’s reestablishment of the Zagreb Festival Orchestra, a Croatian ensemble that had been dormant for decades. Seletković has since brought many PARMA projects to life as a producer, including author Dan Brown’s Wild Symphony and Navona Records releases with the Croatian Chamber Orchestra, pianist Matej Meštrović and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and more.
Congratulations to Seletković and the HRT Radiotelevision Choir and Symphony Orchestra on this exciting achievement.
