Award winning composer Peter Knell offers a deep dive into a number of his inspirations and formative experiences through a variety of orchestrations in SOUNDSCAPES. Knell encompasses the poetry of Pablo Neruda, the art of Rolf Stein, landscapes of his youth, and more with immersive imagery and sensations throughout these works.

Mark John McEncroe’s SYMPHONIC SUITE NO. 3: THE FOREST AND THE MOUNTAINS featuring three orchestral movements that draw inspiration from the natural world. Brought to life by Zagreb Festival Orchestra, McEncroe’s unique voice and filmic quality flow throughout, with musical illustrations painted by striking crescendos and gentle string and woodwind melodies.

MEMORIES UNSETTLED explores music that has too often been marginalized from the historical musical canon. Sun Min Kim and Hilary Glen joined forces during the height of the pandemic, forming the Gibbs Street Duo, an ensemble dedicated to exploring the power and relevance of music as a catalyst for change.

Navona Records presents MOMENTS MUSICAUX, a unique program of solo piano repertoire performed by pianist Antoinette Perry. Captured live from USC Thornton’s Alfred Newman Auditorium, these pieces celebrate the works of German, Austrian, Russian, and American composers, intermingling cultures through various compositional styles.

CURRENTS IN TIME, an album of intimate chamber orchestrations featuring mezzo soprano Megan Ihnen, draws upon memories, stories, and literature of yesterday for our enjoyment today. Time flows like water, anecdotes of the past drift into the deep, only to be pulled back to shore by the strength and flow of the tide.
