What We’re Looking For

Composers are invited to submit original works for string quartet that resonate with the unique strengths and artistic directions of these ensembles. We welcome compositions showcasing a wide range of styles and approaches. Whether reinforcing traditional frameworks or forging paths to new territories, your work should illuminate some of the diverse capabilities and qualities of the string quartet genre.

Why Participate?

This is your chance to collaborate with ensembles renowned for their artistic excellence and innovative programming. Selected compositions will be recorded by the quartets and released on a dedicated album with extensive promotional support. Your work will gain international exposure through the album release and associated promotional activities, connecting you with a wider audience of chamber music enthusiasts and professionals.

Please note before submitting:

This opportunity requires funding to be secured by or on behalf of the composer to cover production and post-production expenses. Submitting a score indicates interest but does not commit the composer or PARMA to any contractual obligations. Once a score is submitted, our A&R team will review and reach out to discuss possibilities and costs for recording and release. If all parties approve, an official proposal will be provided, which the composer is free to accept or decline.

Composers will retain full ownership of their underlying music and any resulting masters and will maintain full artistic control of the project. PARMA’s team is available to help with planning and preparing outward-facing documentation to assist toward the generation of project funding for approved pieces.
