Our latest featured recording opportunity comes from a firmly established partner orchestra, the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava (JFO), in celebration of their 70th concert season (2023/’24).
PARMA has recorded and released over thirty-five albums and concerts with the JFO over several years of collaboration, and session openings with this experienced ensemble continue to be among our highest in-demand.
We now have openings this fall to record contemporary works with the JFO, for full orchestra and subset, with or without a soloist. Recordings will be produced by PARMA’s award-winning team for release on Navona Records in stereo and Dolby Atmos immersive audio (following Navona’s Immersive Audio Grammy win in 2022).
Submit your score for consideration and for a quote to record your music during these upcoming sessions.

Past experiences of composers who have recorded with PARMA and the JFO:
“very impressed with how smoothly the process went, as well as the great attention to detail that was present throughout. The orchestra performed at a fantastic level, and we were both astounded by the efficiency of the session as a whole and would like to sincerely thank all involved”
– Dinah Bianchi
“The Janáček Philharmonic recorded my piece with wonderful precision and expressiveness. As a former record producer, I also fully appreciated how professional the orchestra, conductor, and sound engineers were during the entire process. They were very attentive to my input as the composer.”
– Erich Stem
“I think it was all fantastic! Jan was so on top of everything; he was not only attentive to any concerns or comments I had, but he also often already had the same thoughts I had and was in the process of addressing them before I mentioned it. The group sounded amazing and was responsive to all of our feedback.”
– Sarah WALLIN Huff
“I was very pleased with how the sessions went and were conducted. Jan made it really easy for me, and Karel, Stanislav, and the orchestra were just amazing! That concerto is one of the most difficult things that I have written, and everyone took it in stride very professionally and worked efficiently.”
– Richard E Brown
“Jan, the conductor and the Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra were incredible. Again, thanks for giving me the chance to be a part of the PARMA artistic family.”
– Andre’ E. Godsey, Sr.
“The recording sessions went very well. … It was a beautiful collaboration – real teamwork towards a common goal. The Janacek Philharmonic and conductor Stanislaw Vavrinek didn’t treat my music like just another recording gig. They really sank their teeth into the music and brought it to life.“
– Jan Järvlepp
