Praised as “a heartwarming, humorous tale” with “enormous appeal” that serves as “an uplifting treat for the very young,” Wild Symphony from The New York Times bestselling author Dan Brown has been performed in concert halls around the world by the Iceland Symphony, Toronto Symphony, Chicago Philharmonic, Nashville Symphony, and many more of classical music’s leading ensembles.

Following the recent announcement of his new book, The Secret of Secrets, Brown is now opening the doors for even more musicians to take the stage with Maestro Mouse, a continuation of his mission to generate a wider appreciation for classical music, especially among youth.

Brown has unveiled several new avenues for a variety of ensembles to perform the production through an updated score store on wildsymphony.com. The site offers access to a full concert kit, performance portal, resources for educators, and broadened selection of new orchestrations — from wind symphony to string quartet, solo piano, and more.

Wild Symphony was created to help youth experience the power and fun of listening to classical music, and some youth orchestras have taken to performing it themselves. In June 2024, Brown and the Sistema New Brunswick Children’s Orchestra gave several live performances of the critically acclaimed production. 5,000 school children attended these performances and many thousands more joined by livestream.

“I’m so deeply moved to be here and hear this youth orchestra… these are little kids with incredible chops,” Brown told CTV News Atlantic. “It really has been my dream for this project ever since it was created and to have it happen here, it was just really moving… These kids are so good. They’re so talented, so enthusiastic and now I’ve met a whole bunch of them.”

Wild Symphony is a significant opportunity to showcase the role of Sistema NB and The Province of New Brunswick as leaders — not just in Canada, but internationally in the space of music education and social impact,” said Bill Hogan, New Brunswick’s Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development.

Wild Symphony is an immersive experience at the intersection of contemporary classical music and educational storytelling. Its impact has engaged and inspired communities to return to concert halls and experience the world Brown has created for children to discover and develop an appreciation for music.
