NOVEMBER RELEASES OUT NOW
BRAHMSIANA
Steven Masi
BRAHMSIANA, the latest offering from virtuoso concert pianist Steven Masi, pairs classic solo piano works by Brahms with two new compositions. The album presents a unique musical dialogue between Brahms and the modern day, performed by the capable hands of Steven Masi.
ELECTRIC SCENT
Sophya Polevaya
On Ravello Records, composer Sophya Polevaya offers ELECTRIC SCENT, a series of 19 experimental meditations on the mythic powers of flowers and perfumery. Polevaya employs her mastery of more than a half dozen instruments to concoct this alluring blend of instrumental timbres punctuated by nuanced electroacoustic manipulation.
THE PALACE OF THE DREAMKING
Peter Greve
Peter Greve may be seen as a prime example for music as a late vocation – though it’s hard to believe when one hears how deeply his creations root in the bon ton of contemporary musical academia. THE PALACE OF THE DREAMKING offers a cross-section through Greve’s eclectic and wildly experimental body of compositional work.
